YOUR HEALTHY PLATE: My Green Smoothie

Here’s what I had for breakfast this morning.  Into my lovely Vitamix, I placed:

  • 8 almonds
  • 2 pitted dates
  • 2 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 1 /2 banana
  • 2 enormous handfuls of spinach (to fill the blender)
  • 1 /4 cup water
  • 6 ice cubes
Then I spun it up.  It was bright green and really delicious.  I’m going to make it again tomorrow morning.
