YOUR HEALTHY CUP: Hopeful Tea

In my opinion, it’s time to take a deep breath. Oh boy. A lot has been going on, no? Hopefully this tea will provide you with an opportunity to breathe in, to savor the moment, and then to exhale. I believe this is the very first time I have ever included a recipe for tea on the blog. This recipe was handwritten on a card given to me by a friend who has been making their own tea blends for a long time. They called it quiet spirit tea. I call it hopeful.

1/2 cup dried lavender buds
1/2 cup dried mint leaves
1/2 cup dried rosemary leaves
1/4 cup dried chamomile
1/4 dried cloves

Measure out all the ingredients and combine in an airtight container. Store away from light and moisture.

Place 1 tsp. of the mixture in a teapot and add 6-8 oz boiling water. Steep 6-8 minutes, and pour over a strainer into a cup. Add honey to your liking, and drink up! If you’d like to make iced tea, steep 8-10 minutes, and pour over ice. Ahhhhhh!
